What to Expect:

We want to create a very realistic startup experience. So you will kick off the weekend by meeting copious amounts of new people. As intimidating as it may be networking is absolutely vital to the startup process. Just breath and state your name and area of expertise. You can do it! We believe in you.
We will fill your mouth with yum for the whole weekend.
Once the teams are all rallied around their ideas each with dive head first into developing that idea into a viable concept. Think about it like this... the best concept on Sunday will be the one that has fleshed out their concept the fullest... and the most complete concept will likely be the one that has the most hours behind it. Moral: don't expect to come slack off and still get the full value of the weekend.
You can expect to be pummeled from all angles with inspiration (like the elimination stage in American Gladiators but instead of hard balls their throwing soft doughnut holes at you... mmmm)! Note that we do nothing to add this... it's foundational to entrepreneurial activity.
Entrepreneurs are extremely competitive by nature.
Education is one of the most important parts of the weekend this year. We're bringing in local business owners who exemplify true entrepreneurship as well as mentors, professors, judges, and VCs. You got questions... they've got answers!
If you thought it was hard keeping your tweets to 140 characters before just wait till these experts completely inundate you with absurdly usable knowledge and feedback. We'll also be providing you with videos of your presentations and written score cards.
Expect the value of the weekend to exceed the price of admission.

How to Prepare:

If you want to pitch an idea then start refining it.... or come up with one if you haven't already. Anyone can pitch an idea the first night.
If you want to network or work on another idea then just show up!
Attend the "Pitch Storm" Workshop to get ready for the 60 second pitch of your idea on Friday. Also free.
